Time

The Immigrant interweaves two storylines involving the same characters and setting but different time periods: 1960 and 1975. The 1960 storyline spans one growing season and chronicles the events leading to LP Sanguenano’s departure from the family farm. The 1975 storyline tells the story of LP’s return home fifteen years later. It spans only two days in the autumn of the year.
